We don't currently offer color services for new guests' first (and sometimes the second) appointments. We like to ensure the hair can withstand the process and maintain its integrity.

First, please fill out the New Guest Digital Consultation form on the New Guest page so we can best prepare for your first appointment.

Once you submit the form, you will be redirected to our booking site, where you can schedule The Curl Experience with your preferred stylist.

For returning guests, please use the ‘Book Now’ button to schedule your next appointment.

The timing for our new guest appointments can range from 2.5 hours to 4 hours to allow for a thorough educational experience and drying time. 

We strive to provide our guests with education-based curly hair care that is essential for easy at-home maintenance. The Curl Experience allows us time to do that and ensure that we prioritize your curly hair goals. We don’t make exceptions; we know it would compromise our ability to serve you best.

During your Curl Experience, we promise you'll learn much more about your care routine than you did previously. Our curl specialists always keep up with curly education and strive to expand their knowledge. We love teaching our guests about their hair and continuously gain new tips and tricks to pass on.

Please arrive with your hair cleansed, conditioned, and detangled using the products that best define your curls. We want to see the curls you achieve in your daily routine. Your hair must be completely down, fully dry, and free of clips, hair ties, pins, or other accessories that can alter your natural curl pattern.

This is the first step in setting the foundation for a successful haircut. It helps us better understand your hair needs and allows us to make the best use of your appointment time.

Our stylists are trained in cutting and caring for the full spectrum of natural hair textures ranging from wavy to coily curls! 

Our stylists have trained in many different cutting techniques, including Deva, Rezo, Cut it Kinky, Curl by Curl, and Head Shape Matters. We often combine more than one technique to create the most custom service possible. We always cut and shape your hair when it is dry and in its natural curly state.

We do not currently offer protective styling. Our process is best for those looking to learn a 'wash and set' or 'wash and go' routine utilizing the unique qualities of their natural curl patterns.

We are always looking for models for our apprentices who would provide you with a curly cut or color at a reduced price. Please email us to inquire about being a model.
